(Stupid tilde ~ doesn't work in the console though of course)
(BTW...In Fniggium I made a simple addition to the engine... "BIND TILDE ...", so you can rebind the tilde key through the console! :D)
I didn't know it was actually possible to comment on people themselves :P
Well, anyway, heya guys ;)
My specs? ... mmm ... why would you need them? If you're talking about my comp, it's a PIII500 with TNT2-32meg. About the mod, well, I used to run it under a PII300 Voodoo2 and it worked fine. It doesn't need any particular engine and even runs under Winquake. DosQuake doesn't run, on the other hand, because of long model names, I think.
btw, aren't you gonna put your computer specs up there? my 500's broke, and my 266's broken now (:() and i'm stuck with my 166MHz. doesn't that suck!? "dude i'm getting a dell!" (you probably never ever heard that phrase...it's what dell's pimp says on his ads)
Not when you're playing through DOS.
pak files support long names, I think
That's a trick? Dang it I use it all the time...

In the QC, you can try the ol ~# trick. Just go into DOS prompt, go into your progs folder, type:
dir |more
At the left is the truncated 8 char name, matching with the long name you see at the right.
Take this pic as a reference when coding in UQC.
Does that help? (if you have WinXP, which I highly doubt it that you have it (ram req), I can't help ya.)
