Check out the latest storyline update!👍
Sorry for the delay, ModDB doesn't send notifications for comments. I imagine you'd get a faster response via my social accounts. To answer your question: Yes, it is alive. There were comments below are for a version that was in progress in mid-2000 that failed. I'm working on various aspects on the project during my spare time, including the website. I also have a channel on Twitch and YouTube.
The install directory doesn't actually matter that much. Just make sure you're putting it somewhere it can freely read and write data.
The effect in single player is that enemies have more accurate weapons and faster fire rate. Officers have shotguns instead of miniguns.

A post-mortem reply..
Yes, the Mobile HQ was reused by Westwood Studios in Red Alert as Mobile Radar Jammer and Tesla Tank, so of course it looked similar.
I checked it and it downloaded just fine from ModDB. Install program still works.
It wasn't tested with TFD, because it didn't exist yet when the mod was released.
Haven't checked these comments for years.. anyway, for the mod to work properly, you need a clean install of the game before you can install the mod. Any other mods will cause conflicts.
I know this comment is ages old, but it died under its sheer weight. So many things to do, so few people.
The newer USMC name designation for this is Desert Patrol Vehicle, maybe why it looks so familiar.
Read the news... However, without at least 2 new members or contributions, the development rate is not going to be fast.
You're stating the obvious... What do you think we've been doing in the past months?
General Issue/Purpose Pistol, if you want to to use correct military terms.
There won't be a M4. At one point I thought giving it to Grenadier, but it caused Minigunners to be less useful and made Grenadiers too powerful...
Though the M16A2 is his main weapon, he isn't just a basic rifle soldier. They also often man mounted miniguns on vehicles.
The Stinger wasn't drawn on this concept since the mention of Stinger missiles is enough.
Hummer=Civilian version of Humvee.
Humvee=The original for military.
One thing I don't understand why would an army modify a civilian vehicle for military use when there is a military version readily available?
Around 5000 triangles, as I said in the gallery.
It's about 5000 triangles. That's the standard polygon budget for all our vehicle models, no more than HL2's buggy.
Shoot, squish, blast, frag 'em. You know the drill. But it isn't a gorefest.
Are you talking about Half-Life 1? There are a couple problems with that: We would have to make lots of changes to get the things we want. There is no vehicle support. And you would still have to own HL1.
Why?
If you don't like something, at least give a reason.
You won't see this model from up close, first person view. It's a third person view model. Just to let you know, it has more details than a HL2 third person model has.
Havoc made this texture ages ago and is no longer part of the team. He is only a contributor.
Because the team is lacking a real texture artist, there is not much I can do about improving it. So if you think you're good, please join.
It's not textured yet. It will look better ingame.
