First you need to decrypt the .pak file of pacify and there is an example on how you can do this in the video below by using a bit of software called quick Bms.

Once the file is decyrpted you can browse the assets of the pak file using a bit of sofware called Umodel and this is also shown in the video ive posted below this.

Once you have found what model you would like to replace you want to take note of its file name as you want to reuse that later when replacing the model and also by using Umodel you want to take note what version of unreal engine the game is using.

Now that you have this information you can download unreal engine and create a new project in the same game version as pacify and you want to recreate the file structure of pacify up to the model you would like to replace in unreal engine (This is also shown in the video i linked if there is any confusion)

Now you want to import the new model here that you wish to replace with the In-game pacify one but make sure this model is nammed the exact same as the model you wish to replace. after that you want to bake the unreal engine project with this model in but make sure to turn of encyption. The result will be unreal engine game but its file contents are layed out just like the decrpted pacify game.

Now you want to find the baked version of your model (the file extension should be a uasset) and copy this file and replace it with the one in the decyrpted pacify foder.

Now all there is to do is repackage the project using the infomation in the second video i have linked. This will result in a pak file contaning the modifed model and you can replace the pacify .pak file with this one. Hope this helps if there is any confusion just watch both of the videos fully. (You are basially using the method of extracting and modifying the models from the first video but instaed of using the mod manager he is using in the first video you are repakaging the modified files yourself using the second video.

And also in terms of aniamtions i never got that working but i do have a theory that what you would need to do is recreate the vertex groups of the orgional model on the modified character then create a skelition for the character with the same name as the original model then aniamte the characted in your unreal egine project and name the animations with the same names as the orginal animations you wish to replace.

Thank you and I might make another mod for when the new update is out but Im not entirely sure. These videos may help you with modding the game I would recommend using the actual technique of modding the game from the first video but use the method of installation and patching from the second video. There is also tutorials and documentation online you can probably find hope this helps:
