Xonotic is an amazing shooter game. It's a simple sci-fi deathmatch shooter similar to Quake with many gamemode and maps. You can play singleplayer against bots or online by joining or hosting a server. The music is also amazing to listen to. When hosting a server, you can order the playlist of the maps, gamemodes, music playlist, and even which weapons players can use. It's also open source and available on many operating systems. You can even get it from PortableApps and run it from a USB stick. I used to play this on the classroom computers back in high school. When I'm looking for a shooter game and have nothing to do, this is my go to game to play a quick deathmatch.

This is literally the best in all of ModDB, in my opinion. It makes Generals: Zero Hour how it should have been. It adds so many new units for each sub-faction by replacing the generic ones with similar units. It also adds three new sub-factions, one for each faction. A couple of them were originally intended to be in Generals, but they never added it in the official version. Another is General Leang, who is the boss general in Zero Hour. In Shockwave, she's made another normal sub-faction, and is a favorite of my brothers and I. The mod even edits and adds stuff to the generic base factions so you won't feel like you're missing out if you pick one of them by random. The mod also replaces the campaigns with minigames, so there's that as well. The mod doesn't completely replace your game, though. The download is an installer that installs the mod and its launcher that makes it so the vanilla game isn't bothered, so you can play both vanilla and Shockwave without having to make a separate directory. Some of SWR's other mods are like that as well, such as RoTR. SWR does a really great job at creating their mods, and Shockwave is definitely no exception. It's super fun to play singleplayer and multiplayer, and is easily my favorite mod in the world. Thanks SWR peeps, and I can't wait to see what else you may or may not make next.
