finally I have a couple of days off. The company has been working me pretty hard with weekends included. It is crazy that I'm one of the only ones that goes to church but they think they need to put me on the weekends a lot. I've been carrying around this book I bought that is pretty much a beginners book for XNA. I have been a little discouraged when I tried to load some previous programs made in previous XNA versions into the new XNA version and have it not even load up. What's up with that? Not that the program won't work but the code won't even pop up. There is probably some simple solution and everyone that knows this will probably think I'm such a noob but oh well.

so I am so happy with myself because I got cataclysm to work. Whenever I played it it would only let me play it for awhile then It would crash. (this is after I even got it to work at all). There was something wrong communicating with the video card. I had to look it up and luckily I found a forum that led me to fix it. YAY the classics can never die.

I just heard my nephew really wants to be a game programmer. Hopefully I can help him out. I feel like I am barely a beginner myself but I have always found things are 10 times as fun when you have someone else there doing it with you. He is kind of young so before I bring him into modding I think I will start him out with some basic programming skills, just until I see where he is at. One place where I had some fun while still learning quite a bit about programming is from the program "The Game Maker." Which is free for the basic version so I think it is a perfect place for me to start him out.

So yesterday was Sunday and I am a fairly religious man and I was thinking to myself how I could play games when the good word of God needs to be put out and others need help. Then I thought, I could combine my hobby and my belief by making a video game about Jesus or his disciples or other prophets or religous/moral characters. It would be fun and also rewarding. It would also allow me to learn more about the scriptures and what life was like back then. I am really excited and I hope I can actually make it all the way to the end. But the truth of the matter is I'm still at the very very beginning so I have a lot to learn and I may make some other games in the meantime.

Yay I have made my debut to the Mod community!! I know I'm a newbie but that still makes me a newbie MODDER. So I'm a little lacking in skills but what I lack in skill I make up for in creativity. I am the creative lead for Auroch Studios and I'm here to tell you, we are going places!!!! Stay tuned for descriptions of our up comming projects.
