As a generally uninteresting person who works humbly in the salt mines of the Mighty Jingles and would prefer to stuff my face with food rather than partake in a conversation, I get to hear many amusing things when others assume I'm not listening. I'm also a tank buff. Long live the majesty that is the TOG II*!

Republic at War

Mod review

This is a very polished mod and definitely the best one I've played featuring the Clone Wars as its era of choice.

Pros: A very beautiful mod with fantastic models, textures, skyboxes, etc... Planets are now aligned with how they canonically should be, and overall, Galactic Conquest is very intense and will really make you think with the brutally efficient AI.

Cons: Even on easy, the AI has no trouble killing me, something that only Thrawn's Revenge and ORAW can also attest to. As much as they have tried to balance the game, I feel that more could be done with skirmish. Adding in Victory's and maybe an Imperator could balance the lack of powerful tier 5 warships, as at the moment the Venator is available too late and lower level units don't have the firepower.

Overall, a very well executed mod that will rip open your bunghole if you let it. Congrats guys!

Old Republic at War

Mod review

Let me start off by saying that this is a fantastic mod! ORAW is something that I have spent far too much time playing and that is a testament to how good it is.

Pros: The models, textures and death clones are simply amazing. The particles in the original version were a little hard to see, but the recent particle pack fixed that really well! The AI is the second time I've had the experience of truly being defeated by, something that only RAW and Thrawn's Revenge have been able deliver. The Mandalorians are my personal favorite and I always picture Gustavus Adolphus being at the helm of the Akaan Galaar leading a line of ships like a good old cavalry charge in deep space.

Cons: Nothing really game breaking here except for one time when I got an exception error. The only real things are that the build able space dock for the Republic and the Sith have a couple units that lack names and descriptions. Also because the mod is so beautiful, it slows my computer down to about 10 fps when huge fights with lots of lasers and fighters flying around begin to happen. This has the undesired effect of also causing the game to pause for about 5 seconds every now and then. The music while good and fitting with each faction does not always fit the mood of the mod, though all of the pieces selected are great.

Overall, ORAW is a great mod and best of luck in making it even better!
