Oh, I'm sorry, can you even read?

And why should I point out the similarities to you... So you can go change it to cover your *** like you did with the barbed wire on the HMMWV?

I wish I could do a comparison, but currently I do not own MoW, nor will I spend money to settle an internet argument.

After looking over the pictures of your units, I have to say, they aren't nearly as similar as I previously thought they were. That said, some of the pouches and helmets look uncannily familiar. Perhaps I jumped the gun calling them identical, but they definitely share some big similarities.

Its unfortunate, but like I said before, given your previous history of "borrowing" BIS models, I'm willing to question anything of yours that looks like its come from Arma.

Well, given your past ( Img3.imageshack.us ), I'm willing to call into question anything of yours that looks identical to something from Arma...

Many companies have actually tried to sue model makers for basing their models off of their vehicles in real life. Few lawsuits are successful though as the models are never 100% accurate. Basically, as long as the model is different from the manufacturers engineering model (100% accurate to the vehicle basically) or the model maker doesn't use a company logo, you're free to make whatever vehicle you want.

Again, we're not talking about vora_bat stealing the design of NZX's HMMWV, we're talking about him ripping the actual 3d model, and claiming it as his own. Stop trying to detract from the main point of the argument as it makes it seem as though you've lost already.

And yes, I've noticed a lot of BIS content in many MoW mods. I've also seen units from Johannes' SF addon for Arma 1 in vora's Modern Pack. I've withheld from reporting a lot of stuff so far... but that could change if vora doesn't publicly admit his theft, and apologize to those he's stolen from.

Well I think the people he stole the model from care quite a bit actually... You don't because you just want the addons no matter where they came from, just like all the other vora_bat fanbois.

The HMMWV was made by NZXSHADOWS, based on the BIS mlods. Its not that the design of the HMMWV is similar, its that the model is literally the same. Not only did vora steal the model, but he still continues to claim it as his own... Two of the biggest no-no's in mod making.

Funny you should tell him to "get his **** straight," when you clearly have no idea what you're talking about...

Firstly, vora_bat never credited NZX for the the model. He continues to claim the model as his own, even though it's abundantly clear that he stole it.

Secondly, giving credit to sources does not give you permission to do whatever you want with their model. By that logic, I could come take your car any time I want, going anywhere I want, doing anything I wanted with it (including selling it and keeping the money for myself), and it would be ok as long as I let people know that I took your car without permission. I'd love to see how long that excuse would last in court. If you're going to use somebody's model, you need to seek their permission AND give credit to them.

Whether you like it or not, NZX's HMMWV is his "intellectual property." Taking property without permission IS theft.

It would be nice if it were that simple, but for such a comparison to happen, both modelers must be trusted to provide unaltered models. Unfortunately, vora_bat has proven to be untrustworthy, and has altered his model as similarities are pointed out.

Case and point - He completely changed the barbed wire on the hood of "his" model when it was pointed out that is was identical to the barbed wire on NZX's model. Try to find one of vora_bat's early WIP pictures and compare it to one of his "proof" pictures. Note how on the early versions, the barbed wire is wrapped around only 1 of the carrying hooks on the hood of the HMMWV, Just like on NZX's. Look at the contours of the wire, and note how they are identical to NZX's. Now go look at one of the "proof" images that were posted after vora_bat was told of the similarities. Note how the wire is now wrapped around both of the carrying hooks on the hood, and the contours of the wire are completely different. Even his supposed "recovery model" is altered in this way. Why else would he do this, other than to cover up the obvious fact that the model is stolen?

Make no mistake people, vora_bat stole NZX's model.

Edit- Here is one of vora_bat's WIP images. Compare it with one of his "proof" pictures.

Nice try, but your mate chose the wrong model... He's using the Arma 2 model, but the one at issue here is the Arma 1 version. The two are quite a bit different.

Just for the record, here is the same picture that's been posted several times (that you seem to ignore) comparing the correct models:

Notice in particular the barbed wire on the hood and the M2. They're identical on both models. At the very least, even if you made some of the model yourself, you still stole parts off of NZX's HMMWV.
