We are using node.js for the backend and canvas is used on the frontend. But it's more a mixture of canvas and normal dom as canvas itself is slower than dom. For example we are using canvas to check if the mouse is above a transparent or not to allow selecting objects by real pixels.

Still not very playable and sad but true, I'm always alone, except once. And somehow we had a weird bug that one of us was sometimes invulnerable. May sound like a bad feedback but actually it isn't, I really like how the game progresses and I can see a direction and it's reall great. I hope to see more regular updates of the game. Great work!
