..The executioners head exploded, splattering blood and chunks of
flesh all over the surrounding area. A barrage of bow and crossbow fire
came from all directions, luckily avoiding us and killing many of the guards. A
huge explosion blew up the eastern camp wall, and currently unknown forces
stormed the town. Huge amounts of guards came from all around and tried to fight
off the tide of attackers. We were tied to our chairs with rope so we couldn't
escape, so we hoped that the attackers were here to rescue us. Even if we died
at least many of the sick men whose crimes we saw earlier would be dead.
As the battle raged on, the attackers managed to gain some ground. They
had successfully taken two towers and had a great vantage over the enemy.
However, the guards of the town knew it well. It seemed as if there were many
hidden entrances, as we often saw guards emerge from walls or from the ground. I
thought there was something underneath the ground, and so I convinced the men to
follow me down the hidden hole if we found a way to escape.

Eventually I realised my rope wasn't fastened correctly, and as I tugged
on it, it began to come loose. After a few moments, I managed to free my hands,
however I was still stuck to my chair. freeing my hands was exhausted and I
struggled to muster the energy to untie my feet. The effort of freeing myself
was taking its toll on my body and will power, until i noticed something which
gave me an idea. Looking to my right I saw a dead guard. He still had all his
equipment, but I was only interested in his sword. I knocked myself backwards
and slowly edged myself towards it. Once I reached it I picked it up and cut
myself loose. I then proceeded to free the rest of the men. Just then, a horde of the guards came to attack us, as we both realised the attack was probably an attempt to free us.

I had only just freed the rest of the men, and I was the only one with
a weapon. I shouted to the men to try and find swords to help me. Luckily I was
chosen to be a field commander because of my swiftness in combat. I was very
nimble and found it easy to dodge attacks, but when your outnumbered it can be
seriously challenging.I had trouble killing the first row of guards that came at me, but soon
afterwards some of my men came to help me and we slowly fought our way towards
the hole in the ground. Outnumbered from two sides, and with no
reinforcements coming, the guards of Riverwood chose to descend down the hole,
so we changed our plans. We went to see the attacking force instead, as they
were probably here to free us or the slaves.

At the camp the attackers set up, we were quickly met by a small group
of their forces. They told us that they were a small band of troops from
the cities of Varrock, Falador and Lumbridge that came to save us after they
found out that Steph'nie had been taken. As Steph'nie was so famous and such a
great humanitarian, some of the major cities he helped had came together to save
him after they found out where he had been taken. Steph'nie at this Point looked
terrible; in all the panic we had not noticed that all along his chest and torso
were vicious whip lashes that pierced his body terribly. He was also having
trouble standing and breathing. We asked if there was any medical personal and
they told us they would take him to the medical tent. I told the men they fought
well and should relax at the camp while I went off in search of some more
answers.

I found the tent of command and met with one of the leaders of
Varrock, Captain Shepard. I knew him well and he was an amazing fighter. He was
responsible for fighting in the battle of Meier-Ditch in 1557. He saved hundreds
of his fellow men, including my own life with his amazing orders and survival
skills. He talked about how he had brought word of the disaster of Haventon to
Varrock and managed to group together huge search parties to look for Steph'nie.
According to him he had found us only hours ago, and he had to ensure the
cities collective force was in place to attack. I thanked him for saving my
life twice, and told him about the secret hole in the ground, of which the
guards had retreated to, as well as asking him to free the slaves in the area. I
then walked out to gather our remaining troops and also to check on
Steph'nie.
To be continued....
