It's been way too long, but the successor to the mod is going to be released on Steam in March. With a complete redesign, new story, and new artwork, "Rewind" has been Greenlit on Steam and is coming out March 31st.

I'm really sorry it took so long, and I hope you enjoy it. It's finally something I'm proud of.

I'm still working on it. Just dealing with the catch-22, I need money to make a finished game, and I need a finished game to make money! I haven't given up though.

If you're talking about the prerequisites that are installed during the UDK installation, I don't think there will be a way to get rid of those. Or am I misunderstanding you?

It's coming along! Artists are finishing up the levels, after that there's not much more that needs to be done. I'm guessing within the next year?

Ok, looking at this thread it seems the UDK is very self contained, so deleting the folder should be all you need to do:

Forums.epicgames.com

You can also run Add/Remove Programs so Windows will recognize that it's gone and remove the program from its list.

That's weird, it shouldn't even be looking for packages like that since it's the packaged version. Try 4.1 and see if that fixes it for you, but make sure to uninstall first and make sure that the entire folder is gone. Some configuration files might get left behind that could screw it up.

Yep it's standalone! Look in UTGame\Logs\Launch.log to see if there are any helpful errors in there. Also, what are your system specs?

The Epimetheus menu shows up later in the game, for the first few levels you're working for Prometheus. The level called "Epimetheus" is the tutorial for that section of the game and all of the levels after it use that menu.

That's another thing that's changed, you can't "fail" in Prometheus anymore. I've set up a menu similar to Epimetheus, so every time it rewinds you can choose to go on to the next one or play a previous one. :)

I haven't made them TOO easy, the main comment I was getting was that the Epimetheus levels were too difficult to keep track of. The main thing I've done is break the levels down into smaller sub-levels, so if you could imagine Guillotine being two sections, the first getting into the tutorial observation room and the second getting through the upper hallways, it would be something like that. :)

Under $20 definitely, I don't know the exact price yet. It won't be done before the end of the year though, there's a lot of art work to be done on it. You guys are getting restless, I should get back to work! :D

Not sure about time, but there are 12 missions including the tutorials, and based on feedback I made each mission divided into 3-4 smaller mini-levels. I guess it just depends on how fast you can solve the puzzles! :)

Yep! I've been working on the commercial version since the contest ended. I've completely redesigned the levels based on feedback I was getting that the mod was incredibly difficult. Now that that's done I just need to find artists to make it all look good, and then it will be up for sale on Steam. :)

Doh, that's definitely a problem, thanks for bringing it to my attention. The commercial version's levels are completely different but one of them has a similar puzzle, so I'll keep an eye on that. Thanks!

It seems people have been having problems with the UDK and 7.1 sound, if you're using that try 5.1 and let me know if it works!

There were also a lot of subtitle problems that I fixed. Hopefully there won't be any more problems with inaccuracy, that was the main thing plaguing the game.

You don't need to download the UDK separately, the install package is all you need.

Not much needed to be changed, the weapon mostly because the sniper rifle from UT3 isn't in the UDK.
