This is one of the few Quake mods I have installed over the last 20 years. I installed it after seeing a video of it on YouTube. It was outstanding, and very inspiring (I'm a developer). It took a minute before it started to get fun. I liked most of the enemies, and the castle definitely satisfied my exploration itch. If I had one bit of criticism it would be that Lord Karasu boss was too easy because the health and ammo spawned around him too quickly and I was able to keep running in circles and recover.

I feel that there is some inspiration from the classic game Ecstatica, although I do not see it mentioned in the README. The atmosphere and other elements of the game were reminiscent of Ecstatica.

There were some moments where the game was choppy on my PC (which is a beast). I did not increase the heapsize as was recommended in the README which may have been the cause (command line argument "-heapsize 524288").
