Just in case you don't have the 32-bit version running yet, a quick:
# pacman -S lib32-libstdc++5
To install the 32-bit libstdc++ from the multilib repo should get it working.

Man, Bean's Quest is good. It really, really reminds me of Bill's Tomato Game that I played non-stop on my Amiga in so many ways.
