I forget 1 thing:

Use the (ActOfWar_HighTreason.exe) from GOG version that is the same as the "unprotected" (.exe)

Using the original (ActOfWar_HighTreason.exe) from Retail DVDs the game do not start, just appear on the Task Manager for 10s and then disappear

Complete Guide (to AoW-HT)
----------------------------------------
1) Install the game normally
Note: I suggest use the AoW-HT from GOG

2) Install the AwO-HT patch 1.1b
Note: You can find it on Alnox Archive (https://mega.nz/#F!48RXRJDL!A-hTtg_iddLVSdRrwmhXkA)

3) If you install from the DVDs replace the (ActOfWar_HighTreason.exe) with the one from GOG version or Steam Version or the "unprotected" (.exe) ... do this in a way that you support the Eugene System team :)

4) In the game directory right-click on the (ActOfWar_HighTreason.exe) go to (Properties->Compatibility) and check:
4a) Compatible mode with WinXP SP2
4b) Run as Administrator

5) In the game directory open the folder (EugLoadingBar) right-click on the (EugLoadingBar.exe) go to (Properties->Compatibility) and check:
5a) Compatible mode with WinXP SP2
5b) Run as Administrator

6) Optional. If u want the map editor working, just copy-past the (ActOfWar_HighTreason.exe) and rename to (AOW_HT_Editor.exe) in the game directory

7) Place the tomsons26 fix file (d3d9.dll) in the game directory

8) Done :D
