Yes, but they look more mutant infectious/parasitic.
The zergs can mutate and adapt on the body of whatever life thing: lions, scarabs, humans, etc...
They also have human zombies and more things.
Tyranids eat and devour for to get biomass and create advanced tyranid monsters.
Zergs just infect his victims and they transform brutally on viral monsters.
Just like: Resident Evil + Tyranids = Zergs
But tyranids are the most powerful insectoid/swarm race ever.
