It's going back to DoW 1!
I love base building, it is one of the things that make progression in RTS games feel like actual progression. No base building eventually boils down to spams or perfect unit combos that make a faction play the same, over and over again, which is why I left DoW2 after 2 weeks.
Actually, It's going to be a mixture of both Dawn of War and Dawn of War II.
Mostly DoW 1 though, since it will include colossal battles and base building. The heroes AKA Elite units and customization will be similar to DoW II, but everything else seems to be aiming for DoW 1.
I really hope that New Dawn of War will have these three very important things. First base building, then no Preorder or DLC and last the Mod support. My hopes are not very high for all of those things, but if we could have then it would be perfect Warhammer 40k game.
It was confirmed that it's gonna have base building. But it was also confirmed that the game ships with only three races, so...
So there will probably be DLC... Let's hope they make it expansion-like, with a lot of content for a good price, like in the good old days.
Or maybe even as a free update, like Grey Goo did when they added the Shroud. That would be awesome.
It's great that it was confirmed to have base building, but only three races? I mean, if it would be like Imperium of man (so Inquisition, Imperial Guard, Space Marines, Witch Hunters and so on), then Chaos (normal Chaos, Chaos Daemons and maybe Dark Eldar) and last Orks. However, it looks like there will be only Space marines, Eldar and Orks.
It would be very interesting to have them as a free update, but I would prefer some expansions pack like Winter Assault or even Dark Crusade. Which was mostly good, but please, no Soulstorm.
I don't they have said anything officially about only having 3 races at launch, but if they do then i hope they release one or two races in expansions like Dark Crusade did. It's a bit early to assume anything yet.
As far as i know DoW 3 will include Colossal battles, knight-class like units, base building, DoW II customization, a Three faction campaign and of course all kinds of abilities like massive ork rokks.
They should make races like I wrote it in my previous post. Dawn of War 1 has four fractions + Winter Assault add Imperial Guard, Dark Crusade two and Soulstorm once again too, but I'm expecting to have at least four or five.
That sounds great, however, I really hope that we get a mod tools. That's probably the most important thing of them all. Base building is also very important, but when I can't build buildings in an RTS game, it's not an RTS game for me.
so... i am a little unhappy on how easily the SM were defeated, and how they were so skinny
HOWEVER, is it possible for the mind to ******? Lemme watch it again and find out.

The trailer is epic, the setting and atmosphere gave me the shivers, looking forward for some gameplay.

This Trailer only tells me that Blood Angels are weak against Xenos! The Screenshots looks like Relic has much to do (reference modded DoW1).
