Priorities
An unattended oven can certainly be a lethal hazard. The only mistake I see here is that he didn't bring it to the front line.
I bet this excuse has fooled the commissar once or twice.
I bet it fooled him enough that the commissar threatened to execute him if he didn't go back and turn it off ASAP. xD
