Heinlein's Troopers = Space Marines
Verhoeven's Troopers = Imperial Guard
a simple comparison yes, thought the troops in the actual novel were not geneticly modified and indoctrinated. Having said that, the SM from WH40K are basicly copied from Starship troopers
Everything is made better in 40k.
