It would be if the Fluff didn't contradict itself and the Horus Heresy books seem to be ignoring the older stuff. Also there was actually more then one guy called Jesus.
what parts of the "the older stuff" are you talking about, to be specific?
and yes central America for example is full of people named Jesus but what exactly do you mean by that second part?
The Big E as Christ stuff is from First and Second Edition. Which now has questionable place in canon. Unless there is a Horus Heresy book which Emperor says he was all those people through out history.
There is evidence of people in history who were claimed to be Jesus. Jesus ben Phiabi, Jesus ben Sec, Jesus ben Damneus, Jesus ben Gamaliel. However Jesus ben Stada fits the profile as he was actually crucified because he ticked off the Romans.
