What kind of creature would slaughter his own kind, his own race, for a god that doesn't care at all for it. You kill - Khorne is pleased. You die - Khorne is again pleased. Mindless murder is a doomed quest. In the end there will be nothing left.
To kill is easy. Everyone can kill. But to rebuild a society that thrives is HARD and it requires true strength! Long live the Imperium Of Man! Long live the Man Emperor!
Well, Khorne actually rewards them with mutations and even grants ascension to the deamonhood. These are fairly appealing offers especially the immortality.
Sounds like self gratification, if only to make you a more useful pawn for the Dark Gods.
