Iron Warrior with the Volkite Serpenta who has a Zapp Brannigan voice “Stop exploding you cowards!”

Ahem.

It’s time another good idea, bad idea.

Good Idea: Attacking a planet with virus bombs and turning into a desert.

Bad idea: Trying to conquer the planet a few days later when the survivors are alive long enough to remain royally ******. Whose Regiments prefer Plasma Gun and Missile Launcher as their special weapons. While their hit and run battle tactics alleviate most of the downsides. Also they have just as many tanks as you do.

Lol, yeah what's the point in invading a virus-bombed planet anyway? If you bombed it in the first place you propably won't care about occupying it.
And you could just leave the survivors to starve to death since there's not much on the planet's surface left anyway.

Plus you propably suck at virus-bombing if there are enough survivors to be a problem.

Making it even worse here, during the Hersey Plasma weapons were more understood and easier to produce during this time
Did no one bother to come armed as Plasma Blaster Termi's or add heavy energy based weapons to their own vehicles?

It's like the Iron Warrior's can't execute a strategy without Perturabo a WarSmith or any other leader with an IQ above 70. Their supposed to be one of the smart Traitor Marine factions. :/

It was out in limited edition. So give it a year or so and it will be out in normal format.

Both the Imperial Guardsmen and Traitor Marines have energy weapons standard issue? It really was the good old days.
