Hmmm, there are some concept art that could be useful...

This could be used as a new model for an existing Nod Infantry unit, or used as a new unit.
Its a good design and might be good.

The cool concept of Militant riflemen is cool but still they are only Militant riflement. NOD, the faction with most powerfull, various, numerous infantry with most upgrades for infantry...Do I need to say more?

Jun 8 2012 Anchor

Who says they should be simple militants, you can have em as a completely new elite Infantry unit, such as a new model for the nod shadows, or a Nod Sniper, ETC.

And I prefer to stick the TS style soldiers, so we need to find another use for the concept...

No thanks.

The only unit I could see who currently needs a change would be the Shadow Teams or the Sabotuers.

Well, go ahead and change em then, could use a new model(s).

Yep, fishbowl-man! With some green stuff in it which would make you think it's some sort of tiberium-thing, but nope, he dies just like any other infantry from tiberium, lol EA, lol...

I 100% agree. both need an updating, especially to get rid of those very large, all-glass helmets. I really liked CM32's original image and thought, minus the hood, that'd look great as a Shadow Team. Then I saw this image...

I think I like this one better because he appears more "ninja-like" and agile in appearance, which to me would be logical for their role. Also this one appears to have slightly less armor and so he'd be lighter in weight (ideal for someone who is quick and can take up to the sky). Another detail I hope Carnius will look into, for aesthetic and realistic reasons, is the Shadow Team's wings should not be colored entirely by their house color; rather, a dark grey or maybe black with just a couple lines or the Nod logo(s) displaying the house color for player to know.

This guy, with some more black/grey, I can see as the new Saboteur! Maybe with a small gadget pouch on his stomach too. Also, I like EA's concept of giving him a mechanical arm, except it was too big - Either a smaller version of that, or some other look for a mechanical hand.

Oh wow. The first image there is downright awesome, no other words for it.

I like the new shadow concept and agree with most of what's been said about him, although i do think some kind of flight goggles would be cooler than the "motorcycle helmet" as he spends quite a lot of time airborne, but yes he should be quite ninja-ish. I can see what you're saying about the glider and yes it would look better re-coloured in a minimalist way as you suggest (black/grey with a coloured NOD emblem), but if we consider things logically it doesnt matter what colour the glider is: as the Shadow is stealthed the enemy cant see the bright red glider on his back that screams Shoot Mee!!

Regarding the nod engineer he does need a complete redesign, something more fitting considering he's now stealthed when still. I might be in the minority here but i actually like his claw arm (probably the only bit of the current model i do like) perhaps a reworked claw arm could be part of the new model. for the rest of his look perhaps he can have a slight "mad scientist" vibe going on, after all he cant seem to be too heavily armoured - maybe he could have a belt with his demolition charges on (for sabotaging) and i'd say no helmet, so we can see his shiny bald head. Perhaps a small stealth generator on his back (linking to his claw arm?) but perhaps not.

Yeah it could be more like a flight goggle too, kinda like the mask and goggle on the image that CM32 originally posted. To me, either that or this helmet would look so much better than what they currently have.

Stealthed or not, I still would like their wings to appear inconspicuous with a lot less color. Imagine if Batman had a colored cape against his black suit? ...so I'm glad you agree :)

I haven't heard of anyone complaining about the claw, but if it's the minority to like it, then I guess I'm in the minority too; I only thought it was too big for his hand. Yep, a new reworked claw arm could look better too.
What I really like about this concept is the chest plate that extends above his shoulders to protect his neck - to me it's very cool looking and it gives him character :) If we definitely kept that shoulder armor, had a similar light-armored body style to this, with a gadget belt like you said, I'd be happy :) I think I'd prefer that he wore a helmet much like this helmet, but he can possibly do without it if he had a mask that's similar to the female commando's.

in my view the mask idea would be awesome looking, a helmet would make him seem too heavily armoured, especially if he has the heavy looking chest plate.
