Hey ModDB/IndiDB. The Vets is a group that was founded to take out the guessing work done by the current development teams. I was tired of seeing these ultra-realistic games that are a compilation of Wikipedia and Google searches. We are designed to offer the know-how to those who don't. If your game has any sort of weapons or tactics then we are the group that you should contact. We have real-life experience in combat and know weapons. I think it is about time for our introduction...

I think it is about time for our introduction. We are The Vets, which is a compilation of active and veteran military/law enforcement members from around the world. We are always recruiting, so if you fit our requirements please apply. Now to tell you about our members and their qualifications...

diesel1064 (founder):
I am a combat vet and served with the United States Marine Corps for 8 years as an infantryman. I went to boot camp at Parris Island and my vacation there was identical to Full Metal Jacket. I have been stationed everywhere from Camp Lejeune to Camp Pendleton and even overseas. I was with the 1st Marine Division task force Apocalypse and was one of the first Marine units into Baghdad in 2003. I trained marines in Close Quarter Battle (CQB), served as a hand-to-hand combat instructor and a water survival instructor for the Marine Corps. I also served as a local police officer in Florida for a few years. I served on the SWAT team as an entry team member and was a repel master. I was the "door guy" who used the ram and knocked the crap out of the door. I served with the department until the cost of living went up and my pay didn't. I also was a military civilian contractor as a security operations weapons specialist. I was based out of Washington DC but I can't disclose any other information. "Clearance crap".

reppy served in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years as Security Forces (3P0X1, Level 5). He has been stationed everywhere from Lackland AFB in San Antonio for Basic Training to Aviano AB in Italy and even did some training in Germany. He served in Iraq in 2005 then was stationed in Kunsan AB, Korea. In Korea, his duties were again distributed between law enforcement and base security as both RTL and often Area Supervisor, with the NBC (Nuclear/Biological/Chemical) threat. During that time, his duties extended in both directions, law enforcement and weapons security. His primary job was an RTL (Response Team Lead). At one point, he was placed on a tactical response team, about 24 individuals which were highly trained, sometimes 6 or 7 days a week, responsible for the security of our more volatile assets. For those who don't know; Security Forces is the merged career field of Military Police and Base Security in the Air Force, and during the recent events of this decade has become more Infantry combined with special forces knowledge and operations during many deployments.
