thsi would fail so bad since the pacific theatre didnt have any battlefields for thsi to be useful and even if it would be useful getting it to the island or trough a jungle would be extremely difficult :P

Due to its weight, it would probably crush all Jungle vegetation.

And I would rather call it a Mobile Bunker than a Tank. It would probably defend the beach from incoming landing boats then retreat back into the jungle or move to a new spot to defend on the beach.

I doubt Russia, at least in the winter: Snow, Ice and Mud all over the place.

In the Western European theatres it might have more success, provided that there wasn't all that much mud in the areas it was deployed to, but that's still a pretty big "if". Not to mention that mass producing these things would be a pain in the *** :p .

However, Logic can go **** itself, I want to see one of those things fight Shermans!

Description

O-I was the name given to a proposed series of Japanese super-heavy tanks, to be used in the Pacific Theater. The vehicle was monstrous, carrying 11 crew in its 100-120ton body, but only one 120ton O-I model was rumored to have been built in 1944 and afterward sent to Manchuria. Exact information is lacking however, and it is unknown whether it ever saw combat. Whereas the original plans called for three turrets for the one large cannon and two smaller guns, a more advanced experimental prototype, the Ultra-Heavy Tank OI featured no fewer than four turrets. It is unlikely that the Ultra-Heavy was ever actually built.
