Description
Armor layout of Russian main battle tank T-72 and T-90. What you see is the real LOS (line of sight) thickness of the basic armor, but the drawing also includes the explosive reactive armor ERA (at the glacis front) and Kontakt 5 (at the turret front).
Only the front armor provides good protection but the side and rear armor seems to be very vulnerable.
i feel as if this info should not be as readily available as it is
Me and my friend we are just gathering info's, photographs and other possible and usefull sources to make reliabale (as best and as close to reality as possible) estimation levels of modern MBT's armor thickness.
Everyone else interested in this is free to read and learn from it, why shouldn't I share it with you guys?
