Well you might be surprised but even Star Wars' AT-AT and AT-TE are classifyed as superheavy tanks/armored vehicles, so do not hurry with conclusions...

..."sci-fi tanks, real tanks, funny tanks"...E-V-E-R-I-T-H-I-N-G connected with tanks, real or unreal - it doesn't matter.
mind you, walkers are over rated.
you can see them easier,
you can topple them easier
they would have HUGE trouble going up slopes
they're bigger targets
they sink/ bog down easier
they're more expensive
and the list goes on.
What about the core defender? Sure you can see it but you can't kill it its nearly indestructable
in real life i meant...
also the core defender isn't a tank.
yeah... and they can be rendered useless just by being hit in the limbs.

the extenston is a bit different, but means the same- (WA)nderung-pa(NZER). Panzer is a german, not english word, and so should be the first part of the name.
