Only when it goes through war and mostly "tank duel". End of story.
Hit by modern ATGM it is the end of story for Challenger-2 !!!
Good only against a second generation tank , but against a third gen. tank with ATGM capabilities, chally is dead meat !!!

Since this is a tank, your ships cant sail on land..
there aint much a capability for a tank with standard or even reactive armor to withstand a hit from modern day atgm's-kornets,spike,javelin,rpg-29 vampire and the like,but thats why we have active armor for....
Active armor is the FUTURE, like Trophy, Iron fist, Arena, Drozd-2. Those are rare examples and chally-2 doesn't has that, plus chally-2 has only rifle bore cannon, which doesn't allow to fire ATGM for first precise strike attack !!!
On a special case, a chally-2 was penetrated in the front armor with its ERA by an RPG-29 !
I prefer Merkava-4.
maybe,but it aint the distant future at least,half of the merkava 4's already have active armor so i guess its more of a do i have the money to put it on my armor rather then do i have the means to protect my armor
But did you know that a Merk-4 with its trophy system was able to destroy an incoming Kornet ATGM. Hezbulah don't stand a chance anymore !
nope as a matter of fact not they or their syrian buddies left over army have a chance,thats why for seven years its all quite on the northen front
