Maybe because it's the heaviest tank they had, plus to scare allied intelligence :P

Were they used anywhere? Or captured, broken down in the desert or smth? Doesn't look exactly "heavy". A good counter against a Crusader I guess.

None of the P26/40s were issued to Italian army.
In fact few were completed and used by the Germans in 1944 prototype vehicles were taken over when the Italians surrendered in September in 1943 perhaps or 1944 i can't exactly remeber the date.

Lol it's slower and less armored than the KV and the KV was made two or three years earlier XD, italy fails again :P

Sure they didnot a light French tank like the H39 can possibly cause a **** to the Jap "medium" armor.
