This group is for everyone who like tanks, sci-fi tanks, real tanks, funny tanks, you can put here tank mods, tank maps, simply everything with straps, armor and gun :D
T-55 was the first tank in the world (1960), provided with Active Protection System (APS) which concept all Western countries today are copying...
Typical Western arrogancy, always underestimate Russian weapons and think their own stuff is better but at the same time using/copying Russian technologies. Remember, Germans also underestimated Russian army...and they lost.
Oh yes, and the fact that the Germans didn't have winter clothing, no fuel or ammo, replacement parts or enough PzIVs had nothing to do with their defeat on the Eastern Front.
Oh yeah, and they were also fighting over UK (where they lost the Luftwaffe), in North Africa (where they lost a chance to have a big fuel supply), Italy (where they lost an Ally), Normandy (where they lost control of Western Europe) and the Atlantic (where 759 U-Boats where lost).
So the UK and USA did more than the Soviets did (and lets not forget all the supplies, tanks, trucks, planes and funds the US gave to the Soviets).
The Germans didn't have winter clothing because they underestimated the Russians, thinking they would defeat them in a matter of months. They didn't have fuel, ammo and parts because they were encircled and they didn't have enough PzIVs because the Russians produced more than them.
The Germans were in retreat from February of 1943 and the Germans lost in Africa in May 1943 and Italy was invaded in September 1943, well after the German's retreat on the Eastern Front. And again, Normandy was in June of 1944, a year after the German's retreat on the Eastern Front. And I don't get the U-Boat reference, as the Eastern Front was mainly a land war.
cuz this actually came out after the last war that was fought by Egypt and
they have received large amounts of M60 TANKS and part licence to build M1 Abrams
Doesn't look arab to me.
this is the t55e
"e" stands for Egyptian
Right, but it was repainted to european colours and insignias?
Also, what makes this different from a standard t-55? I couldn't find anything on it.
If it follows the same things the Soviets do on their exports it probably have less advanced electronics.
and since it's a t-55, you might even question if it has any electronics at all. :P
Ignorance at its best, Mr Panzert?

I'm sorry, but you're wrong on a lot of points.

LOL they were flippin Nazis they didn't deserve to win anything.
if u want to know whats upgraded on this tank go to:
Ask.com
in that case, this tank is just an ordinary t-55. It comes up for ramses II in google images but it's not.
You have to ask, why would such a recent tank that has never seen combat be in a museum?
This: Img228.imageshack.us Is the Ramses II

BattleMaster Tank Reporting!
since it's arabian version, I think it's more like the hidden aka unused unit 'Militia Tank'. :P
Actually it's not the arabian version. It's just a normal t-55.
Note the warsaw pact colour scheme.
Chaffe at right of T-55?
