it was Norways "Swedish-Norvegian union" flag. you can see a much better Norway flag here => Upload.wikimedia.org

Description

different design of the swedish flag for different purpouses. The darker one is before the norweighan union, after the disunion the swedish flag was changed into brighter colours "for a brighter future"
