Ok its quite clear that there are some serious issues emerging with in this group and if this group wants to prosper we need to sort them out.

Here are my suggestions
- The creation of a new group to discuss and debate religious issues maybe make it a private group also.
- Ban Atheist vs Religious arguments as these always escalate very quickly neither side is to blame but its clearly a problem. Every few weeks there as been issues revolving around this. This would mean that not all religious debates would be band, however this could quickly descend in to madness.
- Perhaps simply wait a day before you reply to a message, that way you can think it over and by the time you reply you will be clam and courteous.

Im also sensing a huge amount of tension between some users and mods, this needs to be sorted out. (Could be wrong on this one)

But honestly i feel this keeps coming back to Atheist vs Religious. So yea i just want to hear every one elses opinion.
These are just some suggestion feel free to question them and such but lets keep this civil

Cheers do_i_ob

Also in terms of banning users maybe make it 2 or more mods need to agree to it first

If we do that, then our pages will be flooded. Censoring certain arguments will defeat the purpose of this group. Don't like arguing about hat stuff? Then don't respond, its not like your forced too.

Seeme is right. However I have no ideas here but maybe other users/mods can come up with a system that can be enforced to ensure peace is kept.

It's a debate group- peace probably won't come about. While the religion vs. irreligion argument is indeed dominating the discussion, I'd say that it's in fact a good thing we're getting passionate about what we're arguing (ok maybe "passionate" isn't the right word, rather "violent", but I still think overall it'll keep the group lively). The nature of the debates is dictated by the people involved in them; I say leave it to the people having the debate to choose whether they want to implement civil standards or not. Mods should keep it from deteriorating into utter garbage, but honestly, I don't think we have much control over the issue unless we start deleting and censoring comments, and the general consensus here is that censoring is bad (I agree).
