My OS got reinstaled so I am starting again:


This is the hardest place I have started so far.....

all 300 of my dwarfs are dead. Even the women and children.

What is the biome? It looks like you get freezing winters, right? I'm curious to see what you plan on doing with that cute little tunnel in an oddly-shaped mountain

Kamin... All of my levers are "Do Not Pull" Levers.

I deleted my dwarf fortress folder so I will start again but it was not freezing

I await the new one happily ^_^

Going to start a new fortress with Masterwork mod!
Might be a little hard to find a map with 2 rivers thought...

You can make more rivers in the generation by adding them in the generate custom world option... Hopefully you'll get a few that way

I wrangle them up in a pen, and wait for invaders, then i set them ablaze and drop the lot of them in my killroom

I think he meant his badgers . But my river fortress just flooded. Note to self: never try to make river flow through your fortress

But a river fortress would be SO COOL... You could do it with underground rivers, so I imagine with the right channeling...

You guys should try using quickfort, it let me expand so much faster

Antlion titan showed up. i didnt have none of that nonsense. 20 spearmen dispatched it with ease. In other news ive been chaining goblins to walls and flooding the chambers.
