This submarine is like the whole swedish navy desinged to fight of an naval invation. It's pure purpose is to lurk behind small islands and revs and harras enemy ships, it's not a ocean-submarine

but im a swede, what kind of patriot doesn't post anything from their own country? And it's the most silent sub in the world, that gives it a place here i think -AND IT KILLED USS NIMITZ!!!

this small diesel/electric submarine is the most silent submarine today, this is done wiht the OUTER combustion engine (sterling engine)
it's pretty small and can't dive deep as the nuclear subs, however, its small size isn't a negative thing (smaller=stealthier). In an international war-training HMS Gotland managed to get through USS Nimitz escort battle group and get close enough to "fire" it's torpedos.
