I was board and felt like creating another replacement for the now lost Adeptus Modificatus forum on Relic news (Green_Scorpion already made one, but there's nothing wrong with having two)

After a recent experiment with the dawn of war exporter for 3ds max (in which it crashed) it came to my attention that there should probably be a way to compile the individual .SGM files which can be produced via file: export in 3ds max in order to create a functioning model, why is this useful ? you may ask, simple! if the export plugin isn't in-fact producing the .whm at all and is mearly feeding .sgm files into the burner.exe, it would mean that with an appropriate batch script we could tell burner.exe to generate our .whm files from the raw .sgm files without needing to run the plugin, while this may be less convenient for most Max users, it will open up even more avenues for adding models to the game, a legacy .sgm exporter for the original release of dawn of war already exists for blender and were we to eventually create a converter for other models stored in the .x , .obj , .fbx or other widely supported formats to .sgm this would open the process up to a much larger group of new modders and content makers.
