This is the first mod completely translated by myself. I haven't found this mod in english before, so I thought it would be great to start with this one. 80% are translated by hand, the rest was copy and paste. This is a standalone mod, just unzip and play. There are no big gameplay changes - just a different storyline.If you notice any bugs or crashes, please let me know. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - The Wolf and Fox Hunt
It's a standalone mod. Just go to the bin folder and start the game with 'XR_3DA.exe'

I decided to rename the translated mod to "The Wolf and Fox Hunt". Because most of you probably don't know the exclusive Russian novels of Alexey Gravitsky and know nothing about "Зачистка". You play Wolf and are often accompanied by Fox. And because the story develops a bit in this direction, I called the mod "The Wolf and Fox Hunt". Also inspired by the painting with the same name by Peter Paul Rubens, because it represents a good impression of the story.
The Mod is not too big, the gameplay changes are not too heavy. But it has an interesting new plot and runs totally stable. If you find some translation mistakes or have some crashes, please contact me.

This fashion is based on the book "Zachistka" ("Cleaning"), the author of this book is Alexey Gravitsky.

Thanks for the nice words. I am very pleased to hear that. I 'm making very good progress with the Zaurus trilogy, atm. "Duty - Philosophy of War" is almost done and I will upload it in the next days. I know it's the last part of the trilogy and I maybe should've started with "Apocalipsis". But I'm playing Philosophy of War right now and translating it simultaneously. I think I'll finish the other two parts right after that and then go on to other projects. Thanks for the offer to help, that's nice to know. I'll get back to you if I need help. Of course you can also add the mod to your mod spreadsheet if you like.

Just some quick criticism about the translation, there's some awkward grammar in some spots and occasionally you'll run into a misspelling of some sort. Some weapons like the AK74 aren't translated but that's not really a big deal at all. I haven't ran into any broken strings and the mod is perfectly understandable. Though I recommend you find someone to help revise and clean up those bits of awkward grammar and whatnot in future translations. As it is now however, great job!

Gotten this crash twice while trying to escort Fox to Army Warehouses.
Seems to be some kind of spawn error. Does the error occur multiple times? Anyway, this task is a little bit buggy somehow and Fox often runs back if you are too far away from him. It's best to stay within 100m of him and wait until he comes along. If there is no other way, I upload a save-game at the place where you enter the warehouses.
It just seems to be random, sometimes it happens and sometimes it won't. Just saving often and sometimes running ahead of Fox to kill some enemies seems to be the best solution.
Always nice to see new translation works, going to try it now.
A small thought, the name "The Wolf and Fox Hunt" is pretty far fetched from the original, I would call it something like "Clean-up" as "Зачистка" is a military term.

Did you unzip it on the Windows system partition c:? If so, copy the archive to another partition and try again there. And execute the "XR_3DA.exe" as an administrator. Also make sure you have the latest DirectX version and the Visual C++ Runtimes installed. Does the problem still exist?
Hi. Any file you modify causes it to crash. Example: I translated several dialogues into Spanish (as I did with other mods) and if I had a saved game directly it crashed. It lets you start a new game but crashes within minutes.

Hola. Te deja iniciar nueva partida y jugarlo todo el tiempo que quieras. Todo bien hasta que reinicias el juego. Es ahí que se crashea y no te deja seguir con ningún "save" pero si empezas nueva partida, lo juegas sin problemas hasta que haces un "load"

Eso es correcto. Eso es exactamente lo que necesitaba. ¿Puede decirme qué archivos ha procesado? ¿Editaste los archivos a mano o usaste una herramienta como el "Hispano patcher"? Es un problema que afecta a la versión del juego. El mod se ejecuta en la versión 1.0004, pero parece que el dialog_manager.script quiere acceder a un exe 1.0005 o 1.0006. El archivo dialog_manager.script no ha sido modificado en el mod.
Los edité con el Notepad++ al igual que otros mod. Los archivos que he modificados son: mp_st_speechmenu.xml, stable_dialogs.xml, stable_dialogs_agroprom.xml y stable_dialogs_radar.xml
Lo instalé (al mod) sobre el Shadow of Chernobyl - V1.005. No sé si te sirven éstos datos
El error está en la versión del juego. ¿Tiene la posibilidad de instalar una versión española 1.0004? Si copias la carpeta Gamedata con tus datos editados en el directorio principal allí, no debería haber más problemas.
jajaja Todos los mod recomiendan que lo instalen en version en ingles y resulta que éste funciona con versión en español.
Lo voy a instalar en S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Trilogy que están los tres juegos en español. Están con la ultima actualización. Eso no sería un problema?
La última actualización oficial fue en 1.0006. No funciona con eso. Debe ser 1.0004. En realidad no importa si es inglés, español, alemán, etc. La única versión que no es fácilmente compatible con otras es la versión rusa. También puedes volver a empaquetar el archivo desde mí otra vez. Es una versión autónoma. Allí copias tu carpeta de gamedata editada en ella e inicias el juego en la carpeta bin con el XR_3DA.exe. Eso debería funcionar.

Yes it is normal. There are some confusing passages in the mod. But that was intended by the author. :)
