how it all starts Thread - ModDB Stargate Fan Group

The Russian government gets a new BC-304 class ship called the "Aushev" and are out on routine patrol of the Pegasus galaxy to find a planet that would be suitable to create a Russian outpost. They find a planet that is suitable for an outpost and set up.

When the "Aushev" goes to leave an Ancient battle cruiser appears out of nowhere and remains still. The "Aushev" contacts Atlantis and a team is sent to investigate. They arrive with the Apollo and attempt to dock with the ship but it enters hyperspace before they can. The Apollo tracks it back to Atlantis where another ancient Battle cruiser is waiting....

That’s pretty much as far as I have gotten with writing the story...
I am looking for some help with recording, story writing, scene making, and also editing etc.

However, a few items in regards to your plot beginning;
a) Why didn't the Russian BC-304 "Aushev" attempt to board the Ancient battlecruiser themselves?
b) When the Apollo arrived, why did they attempt to dock with it? BC-304 are not designed for space docking, that is what the beaming technology is for.
c) However, when you say dock, you could be meaning the team from Atlantis brought a Puddle Jumper with them and tried to dock with that.

That being said, the idea is an intriguing one, and it would be a pleasure to help you with this.

yeah i forgot to include that the shields were up and they couldn't beam onboard... so the Apollo was sent with some jumpers and since ancient tech can go through ancient shields.....
although i may just cut the Spollo out of this part and make it so the jumper comes through the gate
im planning to have it based around a team that keeps coming across the battlecruisers and maybe some other things like wraith labs and Asuran stuff

and i did write this stuff up in about 15 minutes so it wasn't that well thought out......

As I said, I can help with the storylines, I used to help write plays in high school drama and in primary school, I used to write short stories which everyone in the class would read.

Well, based on the original plot and what you have just mentioned in your last post, I could write an opening story for you to review and see if you like it.

Ok, how about this:
The battle cruiser starts blowing the living shit out of the Atlantis base. Sheppherd and his men realise that the ancients were always against the humans. They manage to escape through the stargate before it it blown to smithereens through one of the ancients own ship. They decide to team up with their old enemies: the Russians to go to war with the Ancients.
That's all I can really give you in terms of a story.In SG1 the enemy was the Goa'uld, Atlantis was about the Wraith and now its time to give the Ancients payback for hurting us with their brain haemmorage disease.

yeah see i want to make them mysterious for the first part and they will become allies and start (as you said) blowing the shit out of, the WRAITH and i want to have sheppard and the main characters in as little as possible

I am formulating a large backstory for you gunner.

I will e-mail it to you as soon as I have finished it.

I can tell you, it will involve;
a) The war with the Wraith from 10,000 years ago
b) The aliens from "The Daedalus Variations"

We would have to change the story a little from when we discussed it earlier, however, it would only change from the dialogue part, I haven't gotten any further, been too busy creating the backstory.

I hope you like the backstory I am writing, we will be able to use it as a guide for the first few episodes.

Dude you are dedicated to this... and thankyou with exams and stuff i haven't had much time to do this but now that they're over i have some spare time to work on it

Im still trying to find some movie editor software that's better than windows movie maker... so if anyone knows where i can get a free movie editor thing please tell me (just as long as it's virus free)
And i have started a group for vengeance and i am still awaiting authorisation for it so when it is authorised i'll invite you to the group (to prevent lots of applications or random joins)

Found something for you Gunner. Try searching up Jahshaka. It's open source which means it's free and has the sort of capabilities we're looking for. It's a lot more advanced than Windows Movie Maker with more advanced tools. Plus, I'll be able to most likely use it because it's compatible with Linux and therefore OpenSUSE.
