Protip:don't use wood. it's flammable. :P
yeah i know that but it looks cooler with my texture pack :P and there is nothing like a portal (for ghasts) lava or fire around it so how do you want it to let it catch fire :O
Why not texture stone to look like wood and then use stone?
but then the mountains will look like wood too :/
what about re-texturing obsidian?
