The Leo is always somewhat endearing to me, not sure why since it's a piece of **** for the most part.
Haha yes! 99.99% of the time they're getting curb stomped by Wing and friends. I liked the OZ line of mobile suits, especially Virgo.
Assuming mechas from any series are good, my favorite mass produced unit definitively is Code Geass' Sutherland.
They're *not* humongous, which is a rarity among mechas, and are very well balanced features-wise.

Not familiar with this anime, what's it about? Animation looks pretty modern, was it released somewhat recent?
*flips out internally because you don't know Code Geass*
It's on my "personal podium" of best anime I've seen, as in right next to Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.
That is of course, my opinion. Because it tickles almost everything that strikes my fancy: Sci-fi, "realistic" mechs (in fact, some the most realistic I've seen yet), psychological genre, military/warfare/strategy, the list goes on.
That, and the animation's amazing if you take in account it started airing in 2006. Myanimelist.net

For me if it is a UC unit it would be the Marasai from Zeta which would be followed by the Geara Doga and Xeku Eins.
Non UC is the Maganac.
