this is a group, (like the tank and aircraft lovers) is dedicated to the IFV (infantry fighting vehicle) like the BMP-2 the M2A2 bradly and so on and so forth, from made up to real life, and anything in between. from treads to wheels to hover, this is for all you people who enjoy those rumbling rolling armored vehicles, that when on the target drop their ramps to emit a large group of infantry. Description

The G5 armored personnel carrier was developed by the German FFG company. The FFG specializes in repairs and overhaul of main battle tanks and armored vehicles for the German Army. The G5 was revealed in 2012. This heavily protected vehicle was developed as a private venture. Currently the G5 is only a working title. A prototype demonstrator is being tested by the company. This armored vehicle is proposed for the German Army, as well as for export customers.
The G5 has improved protection against landmines and IEDs, what is quite unusual for a tracked vehicle. It is also well protected against direct fire.
The G5 has a modular design. It can be fitted with interchangeable mission modules. Mission modules can be easily exchanged in field conditions. Currently various mission modules are being developed for this APC. Vehicle has a payload capacity of 6.5 t.
This APC accommodates the crew of two and up to 10 troops. The demonstrator of the G5 provides seating for 8 troops. Occupants enter and leave the vehicle via rear ramp or roof hatches.
The G5 is powered by a turbocharged diesel engine, developing 560 hp. Engine is mounted at the front. Vehicle uses some suspension components of the Leopard 1 main battle tank. This armored personnel carrier is not amphibious.
