It's rather concerning when you realize the brain has no pain receptors. Right now neurons in your brain could be getting destroyed by a neurodegenerative illness, parasite, virus, injury, etc. and you wouldn't even know unless whatever was affecting you was causing clear symptoms or resulting in pressure on your skull so pain receptors there could report that something's wrong.
