I wasn't called grandpa (I barely talked to people), but sometime ago, when I reflected on my views/opinions of the modern world, I noticed that I sound like old people. And I'm 20.
Whether at home, work, the park, on the bus or on the train, people would actively avoid human contact.
We put time and energy into the pretense of maintaining a relationship just so it would actually last longer than a week.
We let our minds get stuck in the gray, mundane and repetitive nature of day to day life.
But at least we were content just to be, most of the time.
...and there were no ads telling us how incomplete we are, that we should lose weight or get a bigger ****.
