I know the feeling. I saw a video once where they were showing walkmans to kids some in the early teens and none understood what it was. I was like "Damn, am i that ancient to say i've used and even repaired walkmans in the past?".
Probably some day kids won't know what was a cd player.
I actually never used one of those although i have seen some.
Would you believe if i told you that this year i used a diskette because a computer used to program a manipulator robot (similar to industrial robots) was old enough to have no other way to get files in and since we were programming a robot we needed to add some files and do backups.

I think I was part of the last generation to use this. I bet the kid also thinks his shirt means he was born in 1942.
