When Valve announced that they were pulling their Portal 2 event from E3, promising that a "surprise" would be there in its place, the Internet did what the Internet does: It immediately went ablaze with speculation that Half-Life 2: Episode 3 actually exists in a demonstrable capacity suited for public display and would be present at the big show next week.
Seriously, the only thing the Internet is good for is guessing when the next Half-Life game is coming. Note that I said, "good for," and not, "good at."
In a succinct e-mail, Gabe Newell has confirmed that the "surprise" is not Half-Life 2: Episode 3. So, there it is, Internet. Wrong again. You're just going to have to go back to your second love of pornography to mend your bruised ego.
Oh pssh, I saw the e-mail, it's fake, the response was sent within 40 minutes of the guy sending it, so I'm not inclined to believe anything until I see it at E3.
soooo, we still have a hope? ;)
there are working on the episode 3 or just on other games?
what i've heard they do work on EP3.
But they have prioritised Portal 2 so it should come before EP3.
But now since it seems portal 2 comes 2011, who knows?
ohhhh, when he said there will be no EP3, I thought he means, it won't be developed.^^ Misunderstandings are very stupid...
However, they show Portal 2, that suffices as one great game, and, even if they won't show us an EP3 in the E3, I think about EP3 being released in 2011.
theyve done this before with epsode 2, lolz. They even cancelled theyre booth to make it seem realistic but this time im guessing theyre doing it for the hype theyre trying to see how much more money they can squeeze out of valve fans before releasing 2 new products at once othaise they think theyll lose money on something else.
At least, VALVe doesn't seem to be like Infinity with MW2, trying to get the last rest of money out of their games with every method they know like taking in money for a useless patch..
we want EP3!! we want EP3!! we want EP3!!
