Fantasy is hardly an escape from reality - it's a way of understanding it.

A Statement by Riley Klein ("MediaMix1")

Many of the larger-scale companies of the video game industry have been going downhill lately, as many of us may be aware of. I believe that, at some point in time, many of these companies will either fall into obscurity due to their diminishing popularity or will fall apart entirely due to layoffs, low sales, etc. When that fall is complete, new industry leaders will rise in their place, hopefully learning from the mistakes of their predecessors in order to better video gaming overall.

We, however, we are an unknown.

Will we be the successors of the companies we hate so much - or will we simply be there to support those successors? Either way, we must strive to improve ourselves and complete or goals. We naturally try to set goals for ourselves to make us happy, whether if it's trying to make a cool video on YouTube, make an awesome mod for your favorite game, or get good grades in your classes. My goal is to eventually become a recognized creator in the video game industry: a girl who used the things she's learned from her favorite pastimes and interests to leave an impact on her passion for video games.

To help accomplish this goal, I wish to start by learning how to mod. I already know a lot about art, I'm knowledgeable in storytelling and worldbuilding (though I've yet to fully apply both in my stuff on DeviantART X_X), and I'm quick to learn how to use various apps on my computer to help modify my favorite games.

Enough about me, though. I don't want to hog up any of the limelight. I think everyone with a good imagination and healthy ambition deserves a chance to shine.

So let me ask you: what's your goal?
