It became like a tradition on new years eve. i dunno if its in whole europe but its definitely wide spread to watch this short movie. of course in good old black and white. ARD showed it in color which led to protests in germany... oh and they don't show it only once or twice in german tv. people comment on this vid that it is showed about every 15 min.
would like to know if its shown in your country too and if you watch it. ya know for the lolz.

There is a Dutch version of this, but Dutch Tv stopped airing it sadly.
