Mentioned in Ezekiel: Chapter 1
Also known as Angelic Thrones or the Wheel, the Ophanim is one of the most rare, strange and unusual heavenly creations. In his vision, Ezekiel had seen the Ophanim, along with Cherubims along side it, in which is also though that the Cherubim or heavenly being is surrounded by it.
The dots in this image represents the eyes of this creature, so it can see in all directions of the compass and anywhere else. Basically, it can see everywhere. A symbolic creature if anything, at least that's what I gather from it.
Whenever I get to glory, I really should either read up in the libraries or ask the Lord his reasoning behind having such a being. There are some things that no matter how much I study down here I may never fully grasp until in a ascended state.
A human can only understand so much when it comes to the spiritual.
Can't see into the spirit world, although for now that be for the best.
To be honest, I think that what we see on Earth is more terrifying that what's on the other side. Usually I would think that if a creature is not from this realm and reveals itself, it may look way different or horrifying or totally the opposite of what we expect.
I remember that when I was little, I had seen something that was the scariest thing I encountered. I saw this thing when I was lost at a supermarket in the U.S. I remember turning around an edge of an isle where no one was and there I saw a super tall and extremely dark looking humanoid figure with a cloak and hood. I couldn't see it's face because it was as if it was gone. At first, it was standing a few meters away from me just staring in my direction.
No one was around and I started to get scared. When I blinked my eyes, it was really close to me (like a yard away from me) and that's when I ran away crying. My parents found me there after and asked me what happened. After I told them what I saw, my dad told me that it could have been an Angel or a warning of something. I could not sleep knowing that I saw such a thing that day. My parents were worried as well. I slept in there room after I thought I heard something in my room.
We as people naturally fear what we don't know or what we have never encountered before. So I guess that take home message is 'what you see or think of isn't always what you get'.
But I do have my guesses as to why God made all of his creations. Everything in existence serves some kind of purpose in regards to creatures.
That and some creatures are twisted to do that which is unnatural in both appearance and behavior thanks to sin.
Not everything seen now is as God intended.
Well if this was 40k then this would be used to spy on heretics by the inquisition
