This group has been formed to gather the people who enjoy Japanese anime and all of its facets, to salute the people from the land of the Rising Sun.
Microsoft has recently created an anime personification of Internet Explorer called Inori Aizawa. Aizawa describes herself as a matured girl that used to be clumsy, slow, and awkward. She is eager to show the world what she can do.
IE-chan :D
Fair enough! u.u I want Fox-chan too.
I actually can't get very far on Internetexplorertan.com, it keeps telling me to upgrade my browser. Silly website, I can't upgrade my browser anymore if I'm already using Firefox.
For the sake of M$, I hope it's me and my weird browser settings & extensions, I doubt even them would actually make a site accessible only with IE.
You must download and install it as a new browser or upgrade an existing version of Internet Explorer. Otherwise, you're just wasting your time. Also, keep in mind that this version of Internet Explorer is only compatible with Windows 7 SP 1 as of now.
And they went and did it.
Also I'm no marketing expert, but if M$ didn't make this oh-so-wonderful version of IE compatible with their beloved Windows 8, they're worse at product placement/distribution than me, and I don't have a fancy university diploma.
(I use 7 of course)
It's actually not only accessible by Internet Explorer, I can view everything on that page just fine with Firefox. It just shows the crying image and says "I'm sad" xD
Using Firefox/Chrome only changes the background image.
Wonder what's Google and Mozilla's reaction to this, maybe they will release their anime mascots too.
i installed it, this is nothing but an excuse to make people install OR update IE, not much different really
Yep. Apart from the new overridden home page, there is nothing new here. Not worth the download. Still the same clunky UI. Still slower than Firefox and Chrome together.
Its a good attempt by Microsoft, but sadly, apart from new visuals, if offers nothing to the web experience. If Microsoft really wanted to do something worthwhile, giving IE a startup speed approaching that of Firefox or Chrome would be an excellent first start, not this marketing ploy.
IE is really not that slow, only reason I use Firefox is because I'm use to it and can't see myself using anything else because I've used it pretty much since I started using the Internet.
IE does crash more than Firefox, though.
lol idk which id rather use this or this Moddb.com ?
do is there one for google crome?
