Shovel Knight is pure NES fun, its Mega Man, Castlevania, Adventure of Link, Duck Tales, Super Mario Bros. 3, all combined into one pure nostalgia slushy with awesome original soundtrack. It seems easy at first, but as you progress the challenge mounts and your platforming skills are put to the test. And don't be fooled by its oldschool vibe, there are none of the issues one remembers from the arcade. No unfair traps, graphical glitches, lives/limited resets or any of that mumbo jumbo. Its pure skill & filled to the brim with secrets for avid adventurer. Oh yeah and you carry a shovel.
