Another Monday afternoon, another Meet the Team on Xitol’s front page. This week we bring one of Xitol Softworks’ level designers, Trevor Thomas!
What is your job/role for Xitol Softworks?
I am the Lead Level Designer.
What game do you find most influential to your work?
When it comes to this project, Killzone, Battlefield and Crysis are my influences.
What is your favorite game of all time?
While I don’t have one single “favorite”, I have multiple favorites which include the Metal Gear Solid series, the Splinter Cell series and of course, the Battlefield series.Editor’s Note: Yes, he most definitely loves the MGS series. It’s all he talks about! xD
What do you do in your free time?
I play games, write music, develop games and… play more game!
What made you want to work in the gaming field?
Battlefield 2 is what officially made me want to make games. I’ve always thought it would be cool to do, but I think Battlefield slapped me across the face and said “Do it!” (laughter)
Why do you love working for Xitol Softworks?
The amazing atmosphere, especially compared to working with previous companies. Everything is much more organized and the people are amazing!Editor’s Note: Some people do say I am amazing… *virtual flexing*
What are you currently working on?
I am mainly working on creating amazing levels and particles for Zone: The Battleground. Also I will be working on cinematic for an un-announced project. Editor’s Note: I am working on that “un-announced” project too!
Do you like what you see in Zone: TB so far?
Yes! I personally feel players will be blown away with what we will show off.
What is a little known fact about you?
I am scared of spiders, enough said.Editor’s Note: Thanks for sharing Trevor, now I know how to terrify you next meeting. *evil laughter*
What is your “motto”?
Sexy = AwesomeEditor’s Note: The entire team has pretty much adopted that as OUR motto now.
