Xenonauts is a PC strategy game due for release in 2013. It is a spiritual successor to the classic X-Com strategy games, putting the player in control of an organisation defending the world from an alien invasion. It is a grand strategy game that involves building and managing bases across the entire planet, controlling jet fighters and ground troops in battle against the alien forces, then researching captured extraterrestrial technology to unlock their secrets! Linux version uses WINE.
This is one of the player's soldiers being equipped before he is sent into combat. He is equipped with a machinegun and carries a shotgun for assault combat if necessary. He is wearing the heavy Jackal armour, which provides additional protection at the cost of movement and sight cone penalties. He is overloaded with all the weight of his equipment (look at the bars under his weapons), which reduces his total action points available each turn.
Notice the detailed soldier background system below the portrait - this is dynamic and generates a background for every soldier in the game (although it's not fully implemented yet with regards to previous combat experience etc).
What are the grenades under the shotgun ammo, are those going to be in the new patch? Or are they Alenium Grenades?
