Wyv and Keep is a grid-based action/puzzle game following two young treasure hunters into the land of Amazonia. Take control of the duo and use teamwork to solve mind-bending puzzles, navigate challenging action sequences, and find hidden riches deep within an ancient temple. Play by yourself, with a friend locally on one keyboard, or online, dodging fiendish traps, evading cannibalistic pygmies, shopping for hats, and even exploring an active volcano. Even create and share your own puzzles with the included cartographer. All this summer in Wyv and Keep!

New Reviews and some exciting developments with Wyv and Keep!

Posted by on

We’ve given the demo a few weeks to make the rounds, and we’ve been getting some exciting and excellent press all around the interwebs! Reviews for the preview include:

Gnome’s Lair: Gnomeslair.com

IndieGames Blog: Indiegames.com

RGCD: Rgcd.co.uk

Indie Gamers: Indie-gamers.com

Development continues with David hard at work on our cutscene engine, which will be an integral part of breathing some life into our lovable hero and heroine. The full game will have numerous short cutscenes to flesh out the cast through dialog and shed some light on the mystery of the Temple of the Lost Idol. Expect plenty of twists and turns, as well as some great tongue-in-cheek humor and bickering between Wyv and Keep.

We also decided, partially due to feedback we’ve been getting on the demo, that a 6th world would be ideal to really flesh out the difficulty curve and tie some elements of the story a little bit more into place. I’m really happy with how its coming, and I just finished laying out the last level last night. There’s still some work to do on the template, but it’s coming along great and has an interesting theme that sets it apart from the rest of the temple. Expect a screenie soon!

Maybe Jesse will even sneak a progress pic of the game’s intro, which he is scripting with David’s engine.
